Tenerife North Airport is an hour away from El Médano, a route you will be able to do without problems with a rented car. Here are the directions you will have to follow:
- Head west and at the roundabout, take the third exit onto Cam. San Lázaro. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the TF-5 ramp to La Laguna/Santa Cruz.
- Merge onto TF-5. Take exit 7B for TF-2 toward Autopista Sur/Alistos.
- Continue onto TF-2 and take exit onto TF-1 toward Candelaria/Aeropuerto Sur/Los Cristianos.
- Take exit 55 for TF-64 toward San Isidro/El Médano. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit onto TF-64.
- Continue onto Av. José Miguel Galván Bello. Turn left onto C. José Reyes Martín. Turn left onto Av. Magallanes.
- Well done! Now you are in El Médano.
How to go from El Médano to Tenerife North Airport
Once your holidays have finished it is time to go home. Here are the steps you will need to follow to reach the airport:
- Head northwest on Av. Magallanes toward C. Chile. Turn left onto C. Argentina.
- Turn right onto Av. José Miguel Galván Bello. Continue onto TF-64. Merge onto TF-1 via the ramp to Sta. Cruz de Tenerife.
- Merge onto TF-1. Take exit 6 toward TF-2/La Laguna/Aeropuerto Norte. Keep left to continue toward TF-2.
- Keep right, follow signs for TF-2/Las Chumberas/La Laguna/Aeroperto Norte.
- Continue onto TF-2 and use the left lane to merge onto TF-5 toward La Laguna/Aeropuerto Norte.
- Take exit 11 for TF-152 toward Aeropuerto de Tenerife Norte/El Portezuelo/San Lázaro.
- At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Cam. San Lázaro. At the roundabout, take the first exit.
- Congratulations! You have arrived at Tenerife North Airport.

How to go from Tenerife South Airport to El Médano
There are only 10 minutes between Tenerife South Airport and El Médano. Follow these directions and you will not have any problem:
- Head northwest and turn left to merge onto TF-1.
- Take exit 57 toward TF-64/San Isidro/Granadilla/El Médano. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto TF-64.
- Continue onto Av. José Miguel Galván Bello and turn left onto C. José Reyes Martín. Turn left onto Av. Magallanes.
- That is it! Now you are in El Médano.
How to get from El Médano to Tenerife South Airport
Your holidays have come to an end and now it is time for you to leave Tenerife. Here are the instructions you will need to follow to reach the airport:
- Head northwest on Av. Magallanes toward C. Chile. Turn left onto C. Argentina. Turn right onto Av. José Miguel Galván Bello.
- Continue onto TF-64.
- At the roundabout, take the fourth exit. Then, use the left lane to merge onto TF-1 via the ramp to Aeropuerto Sur/Los Cristianos Puerto.
- Merge onto TF-1 and take exit 59 toward TF-1/Aeropuerto.
- Well done! Have a safe trip back home.
